Osgood & Blaque Duo Band

View Full Profile

Greg Osgood has been performing in nightclubs and other venues since the age of seventeen. From America to Asia and back to America, Osgood has entertained thousands of audiences around the world. From 1982-1983, as a member of the group Purple Haze, he experienced the musical cultures of Thailand, The Filipines, Tokyo and Taiwan during his military tour in Okinawa, Japan. In 1993, he identified himself as a master keyboard artist and eloquent pianist in and around Malaco music center of Jackson, Mississippi. His first solo stage opportunity came in 1997 when he opened for the Chilites at Jackson's Masonic Temple. In 1999, he joined a band named the Dominoes where he was lead vocalist. The band stayed together for several years touring Mississippi and Louisiana.

Osgood has the rare ability to harness an entire catalogue of sounds with just two hands; incorporating them simultaneously while holding a driving rhythm and fingering solo parts. His style is melodiously soothing, even in an acoustic setting, creating a panarama of multi-layered synthesis seldom seen or heard throughout the entire music world.

In 2003, Greg Osgood was joined by Cee Blaque, a female vocalist from Vicksburg, Mississippi, to comprise Osgood & Blaque duo. Blaque jumped at the opportunity to work with the talented Osgood. Today, Osgood and Blaque is one of the most widely-acclaimed new musical acts to come along in years. Crystal Springs native Greg Osgood is a master keyboard artist and vocalist and is the perfect complement to the passionate torch singer and harp-playing Cee Blaque.

Blaque's powerful vocal delivery and careful harmonic phrases are a deep personification of her heartfelt yearnings while growing up in and around the Mississippi Delta and Catfish Row. Blaque's vocal performance offers intriquing embellishments to whatever she's singing, whether cover tunes or original material. Adding her own variety of harmonic calls, vocal scats coupled with authority and resilience, Blaque offers an intriguing performance.
